The third movie in Phase 1 is another Superman movie. This will focus on Lex discovering and weaponizing the Kryptonite mineral to kill Super. This movie will also focus on Superman’s life as Clark Kent, his relationship with Lois Lane, and his friendship with Jimmy Olsen, who has graduated from being a newbie in the Daily Planet. The villain as usual is Lex Luthor but he won’t be the one to fight Superman, this time, Metallo, who is a criminal named John Corben who, with the help of Lex Luthor, becomes Metallo, a machine that is basically the DC Terminator with a Kryptonite piece in his chest that powers him up. This version of Metallo’s origin is based on the origin given to him in Superman: The Animated Series. A mid-credits and post-credits scene will be teasing Supergirl and Brainiac’s arrival. This would be released around mid 2019
