Kal-El, raised as Clark Joseph Kent and better known as the almighty hero Superman, is the titular main protagonist of Superman: Man of Steel. Born on the planet Krypton as Kal-El and raised on Earth in Smallville, he is a being of immense power, strength, flight and invulnerability who, after realizing his heritage, uses his powers to protect mankind as “Superman”. As a means to protect his identity, he works in Metropolis as mild-mannered reporter Clark Kent.
