Kryptonian scientist Jor-El sends his son to Earth before his planet is destroyed by Brainiac, a cybernetic unit he created. Years later, Clark Kent, now known as Superman, becomes a superhero and main defender of the city Metropolis, where he lives with his fiancée Lois Lane. However, after Brainiac discovers that Jor-El's son survived, he leaves for Earth to eliminate the hero, where he ends up allied with his old rival Lex Luthor.
