A team of scientists embarks on a space voyage toward the sun to conduct research. The mission is sabotaged by Lex Luthor. For the first time, Superman fails in his mission and is unable to save anyone. Superman then questions his role. We learn that the scientist actually survived but became Parasite, and seeks revenge on Lex.
