In his third year as humanity’s protector, Clark Kent, known to the world as Superman, faces growing uncertainty about his place on Earth. While he struggles to balance the human values he learned growing up in Kansas with the weight of his Kryptonian heritage, public fear of his extraordinary power continues to rise. To some, he is a symbol of hope. To others, he is a threat the world can no longer afford to ignore. Determined to turn humanity against the Man of Steel, brilliant industrialist and scientist Lex Luthor sets a dangerous plan into motion. Behind his campaign lies a long buried secret involving a mysterious experiment developed by Lex’s parents and Lionel Luthor. Its forgotten legacy leads to Niall Quinn, a powerful creation who believes he is destined to become humanity’s true hero. Convinced that Superman represents a danger to the future of mankind, Niall becomes determined to prove that the world no longer needs its greatest protector. As their conflict escalates, Lex manipulates events from the shadows, hiding his true intentions behind a carefully constructed scheme. But as Niall begins to uncover the truth about his origins and the forces that shaped his existence, his understanding of humanity starts to crumble. With the boundaries between heroism and destruction growing increasingly blurred, Superman finds himself facing an enemy whose power rivals his own and whose beliefs threaten everything he stands for. As an unprecedented crisis threatens the world and reality itself, Superman must confront the consequences of humanity’s fear, Lex Luthor’s ambition, and a creation that may prove impossible to control. In a battle that will test his strength, his convictions, and his faith in mankind, the Man of Steel must prove that being a hero means more than simply having the power to save the world.
