Clark Kent moves to Metropolis, finding a job at the Daily Planet and befriending fellow reporters Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen. Reuniting with his childhood friend Lex Luthor, Clark reminisces on his childhood at Smallville and brief career as the teenage hero Superboy. Despite his initial reluctance to don the cape once more, he can't stop himself from saving those around him, unwittingly catching the attention of the US military and the fearsome Metropolis' billionaire CEO Maxwell Jensen.
