Otto Octavious has taken over Peter Parker's body while Peter wakes up trapped inside of one of Octavious's Octobots. MJ begins to notice that something is off with Peter, which causes Peter to leave her, to MJ's heartbreak. Peter goes back to college to get his doctorate and meets Anna Marie Marconni, and the two begin to date. A new and dangerous enemy called the Vulture emerges though.
