James Howard, a young adolescent who works at a comic book publication has been suffering from his father's death that occurred in an accident. Now granted a mysterious orb from a dying alien that holds the power and a Mentor to his side, James must become the Superhuman and protect the Earth. And awkward high school student gains alien-like abilities that he eventually must use to fight evil as a superhero after tragedy befalls his family.
