After graduation, Jacob and Erin sit on empty bleachers, weighed down by the loss of their loved ones. They reflect on their heartbreaks and the people they've lost, including Wayne Ellis, Roger Howard, Ricky, Katherine, Richard Sr., and others. They attend funerals together, attending some crowds and others empty. Jacob lingers at his father's grave, thinking of the fights left unspoken. He visits Ricky's grave, feeling sorry for not saving them. Erin watches from a distance, not sure if they will ever be the same, but they don't need to be fixed; they just need to feel it.
