(First appeared in All-Star Comics #8 in 1942 and was created by William Moulton Marston and Harry G. Peter). Diana was the daughter of the Amazon Queen Hippolyta of Themyscira, an island without any men. As a child, Diana received gifts from the Greek gods. One day, during World War II, when she was an adult, an American pilot named Steve Trevor crashed on the island. Steve told Diana about the Second World War, which made her leave the island with him and help the Allies. Eventually, Steve and Diana became lovers.
