In captivity, Tails has bonded with Luigi and Toad, seeing how both the best friend part for Toad and the little brother part of Luigi is similar to himself. Meanwhile, he enacted an escape plan which involved getting Knuckles ticked off enough to break down the cage they're in. Everyone tried, but none had availed. Then Toad, one you could never expect to roast Knuckles, shouted and insulted Knuckles so much that the Echidna charged straight through the cage, and through three walls!!! Tails' plan had worked!
