The cave-people have become obsessed with Mario and Luigi and their greatest heroics, they draw stories on their walls like comic books and sell toys. The walls show Mario and Luigi as flawless heroes: shooting fireballs, flying with a cape, punching meteors, and battling hundreds of Koopas at once with the help of many great mushroom warriors. Inspired, Oogtar and his best cave-friend named Gronkie declare they want to be just like Mario and Luigi, the Super Plumbers! They begin copying everything the Mario Bros do, wear overalls made of leaves, jump off high rocks with a “cape,” eat spaghetti and meatballs made out of something cheap and inedible, and try to fight enemies together. Things get dangerous fast when he challenges a group of Fire Sumo Bros. and ends up trapped. Mario and Luigi have to rescue them!
