When Dinosaur Land gets an unexpected visit by Santa Claus, he is not feeling his usual jolly self, looking more turtle-like in appearance, and says that they are all on the naughty list if they do not give the presents to King Koopa and his Koopa Kids, planning to turn everyone's presents into coal, for always being on the naughty list! He has also kidnapped Santa Claus, and is forcing his elves into making toy airships, toy Koopa Troopas, Koopa Klay, Koopa-ction figures and Koopa Kave playsets for every child in Dinosaur World, and when every cavekid on Cave Christmas morning... the toys will brainwash the children of Dinosaur Land into being rotten eggs, 24/7, 365, 366 on a leap year, too! So, when Santa comes next year... every cavekid will be getting coal for Cave Christmas! It is up to Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Princess Toadstool, and Oogtar to save Cave Christmas before Koopa ruins it for every kid in Dinosaur Land!
