The year is 1988, one year post war in Hawkins, Indiana. The small town is slowly rebuilding itself with the help of two neighboring towns. Eleven, Dustin, Lucas, Mike, Will, and Max have all moved to San Rior, Indiana one of those two neighboring towns.
