Caleb Reginald McLaughlin (born October 13, 2001) is an American actor. He gained international recognition playing Lucas Sinclair in the Netflix series Stranger Things (2016–2025). He began his career playing young Simba in the Broadway musical The Lion King, and then had small roles in television. After finding success in Stranger Things, he appeared in the drama films High Flying Bird (2019) and Concrete Cowboy (2020), the latter being his first lead role in a feature film. He was also in the miniseries The New Edition Story (2017) and has had several television voice-over roles. The year is 1988, one year post war in Hawkins, Indiana. The small town is slowly rebuilding itself with the help of two neighboring towns. Eleven, Dustin, Lucas, Mike, Will, and Max have all moved to San Rior, Indiana one of those two neighboring towns. They are learning to cope with everything going on, especially with Max still in the hospital. Around this time, everyone started acting.. different. Nobody is the same after what had happened. The older kids moved out on their own, leaving the younger ones to fend for themselves. Eleven had been hit the hardest. She has to cope with the murder of several people, a break-up, and the loss of her best friend, Max, who is still in a coma. She is still in school, being raised by both Hopper and Joyce. Even with the support of all her friends, she's still been different. She only talks when necessary and hides in her room a ton.
