Jennifer Holland is an American actress best known for her role as Emilia Harcourt in James Gunn’s HBO television series Peacemaker (2022–2024), where she emerged as a key part of the show’s core ensemble. Her performance helped establish Harcourt as one of the more grounded and serious presences within Gunn’s DC projects, balancing action-driven storytelling with character-focused moments. Holland’s most prominent later work has been tied to DC Comics projects under Gunn, beginning with her debut as Harcourt in The Suicide Squad (2021), followed by appearances in Black Adam (2022) and Shazam! Fury of the Gods (2023). She later carried the role into animation with Creature Commandos (2024–), making her one of the few performers to portray the same character across DC’s live-action and animated continuities. Earlier in her career, Holland appeared in a range of film and television projects, including a recurring role as Becky Phillips on CMT’s Sun Records (2017), the comedy American Pie Presents: The Book of Love (2009), and guest roles on established network series American Horror Story (2011–), Bones (2005–2017), Rush Hour (2016), and CSI: Miami (2002–2012). Her appearance in James Gunn’s Brightburn (2019) marked a clear turning point toward higher-profile genre projects. In her personal life, Holland began a relationship with filmmaker James Gunn in 2015, and the couple married in 2022.

Inspired by the Black Lion video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjLQyBD-wfA In this reimagined version of the Suicide Squad, Peacemaker joins the team from the outset, adding a unique dynamic to the group. The film's primary antagonists are the white Martians, who disguise themselves as a human superhero group called the HyperClan, drawing inspiration from the Peacemaker series' butterfly plotline. ARGUS agents Johnny Canamos and Amelia Harcourt are integral from the beginning, while KGBeast takes Katana's place on the squad. Unlike the original, this film features a higher body count among the squad members, emphasizing the lethal stakes of their mission. With the HyperClan posing a significant threat, Martian Manhunter makes a crucial cameo, stepping in to assist in the climactic battle.
