It follows teenage friends Jake, Tricky, Fresh, and Yutani as they skateboard through their vibrant city, getting into trouble while evading the grumpy Inspector and his dog, but their adventures take a sci-fi turn when they discover mysterious alien technology (turbines) that grants them new powers and leads to a larger city-wide mystery involving glowing symbols and a shadowy organization, expanding beyond typical graffiti chases to a secret tech-driven world.
