A 19-year-old officer cadet full of dreams and idealism, Shizuka is a first-year trainee at the Fuso Imperial Navy Military Academy on leave before deployment. Born into a military family, she's had duty drilled into her from a young age. She is a future Officer candidate, but her personality to stick to the rules raises concerns yet hope that actual combat experience will grow her up which is why she and Tomoko must train with the 501st to grow up and get experience. Through her and Tomoko's eyes, we learn how Strike Witches work.
