When an accident condemns his career and seems to shake even his own identity, a brilliant but arrogant neurosurgeon decides to seek a cure beyond traditional medicine. His search leads him to Kamar-Taj, an apparently peaceful monastery located in the Himalayas - but which also resides a whole world of magic. Believing he has few other options, Stephen Strange begins training in its domains as a sorcerer. But while learning to confront mystical forces that threaten reality, Strange will also need to confront his own traumas - and choose between the life he had, or what may be his unexpected destiny. Chronologically, it is set before the events of The Avengers Project.
