Emily Irene VanCamp (/ˌvænˈkæmp/; born May 12, 1986) is a Canadian actress. She first came to prominence for her work with producer Greg Berlanti, who cast her as a series regular on The WB drama Everwood (2002–2006) and the ABC drama Brothers & Sisters (2007–2010). VanCamp gained further recognition by portraying the lead role of Emily Thorne on the ABC series Revenge from 2011 to 2015. From 2018 to 2021, VanCamp starred on the Fox medical drama series The Resident. She also plays Sharon Carter / Agent 13 / Power Broker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), appearing in the films Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) and Captain America: Civil War (2016), as well as the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021) and What If...? In a planet very distant from Earth, a race of angels known as Storm Angels - with the ability to control water, weather, hurricanes, and obtain invincibility. However, one of the most loyal but powerful Storm Angels, Alice has gone missing from the kingdom while embarking on a journey to recover the key to keeping her home stable, which is the Orb of Distinct. Alice ends up on Earth after blacking out, only to see that half of her abilities aren't effective and witnesses her planet capable of facing a very dangerous cataclysm. She joins a group of unlikely storm chasers and scientists that have discovered a mysterious distress signal that may be connected to the Orb of Distinct. Along the way, Alice will also face a nemesis of her father in the past that will stop at nothing to invade the home of the Storm Angels.
