Leo is the heartbeat of Christopher Street’s unhoused youth and the tragic catalyst whose suffering breaks the community's silence. At 16, he is a mixed Latino-White runaway navigating the dangerous underbelly of the Greenwich Village street economy after fleeing a brutally abusive home. While he searches for moments of pure, human joy slow-dancing in the back rooms of the Stonewall Inn, his reality is defined by raw survival sex work. He is trapped in a toxic custody battle for his future: survival forces him to rely on the transactional protection of Ed "Mother" Murphy, while Marsha and Sylvia fiercely attempt to pull him away from the Mob's exploitation. When the NYPD surprise raid hits, Leo’s vulnerability makes him an easy target for police brutality.
