Christopher Michael Sanders (born March 12, 1962) is an American filmmaker, animator, and voice actor. His credits include Lilo & Stitch (2002) and its live-action adaptation and How to Train Your Dragon (2010), both of which he co-wrote and directed with Dean DeBlois; The Croods (2013) with Kirk DeMicco; and The Wild Robot (2024), receiving nominations for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature for all of them. In 2020, he made his live-action directorial debut with the adventure drama The Call of the Wild. He created the character Stitch in 1985, wrote the film's story, and voiced Stitch in almost all his media appearances. Add six voice actors Chris Sanders, Kevin McDonald, Kevin Michael Richardson, Jeff Bennett, Rob Paulsen and Tara Strong from the original animated continuity to reprise their respective voice roles as the original cast of Lilo & Stitch characters Stitch, Pleakley, Gantu, Dr. Hämsterviel, Reuben and Angel by replacing the different anime voice actors. 2. Have different voice cast to voice other exclusive characters from Stitch!. 3. Add two new voice actors Kelsey Grammer and Cate Blanchett replace the late David Ogden Stiers and Zoe Caldwell to be recasted as both Jumba and The Grand Councilwoman. 4. Have Leroy return in the rewritten version of Stitch! since Leroy & Stitch (2006) and make a character arc for Leroy similar to Shadow from Sonic X. 5.
