Fan Casting Clyde Kersek in Steven Spielberg's The Executioners

Clyde Kersek is the private detective Sam hires when the police prove inadequate. A former cop with a shambling, bear-like presence and a dry, profane humor, Kersek is good at his job and knows it. He's survived this long by being smarter than the predators he tracks. Cady is the first predator who's smarter than him. Kersek is immediately appealing—the character the audience trusts to solve the problem—and his death, garroted in Sam's living room while wearing Cady's Hawaiian shirt, would land as a gut punch that announces the rules have changed.
