Fan Casting Senator Hume in Steven Spielberg's Ghost in the Shell

The red-faced, bulbous, sixty-something chairman of the Senate Oversight Committee. He is a cynical bio-conservative who views the Major as a "weapon our enemies can use against us." He fears cyberization and wants all shell operators suspended. He is a political bully who unknowingly becomes Jacob Skinner's pawn, ordering the shutdown of Tier 9. He represents the frightened, powerful old guard clinging to a vanishing world.
