Timothy Francis Robbins (born October 16, 1958) is an American actor, screenwriter, director, producer, and musician. He is best known for his portrayal of Andy Dufresne in the prison drama film The Shawshank Redemption (1994).
After serving a long prison sentence, violent ex-con Max Cady stalks defense attorney Sam Bowden and his family, convinced Bowden betrayed him years earlier. As Cady’s psychological terror escalates, Bowden is forced into a desperate confrontation to protect his family.
