This is a mysterious man who appears only at the beginning of the film and at the very end. First we see him, as he arrives at the gas station where Debra works, asking if she's alone, arousing her suspicions. After buying a beer, he leaves. He then appears at the very end of the film, when Roxanne, trying to find help, knocks frantically on the door of his trailer, and he opens it for her. When Roxanne pleads for help in panic, he simply asks if she wants to come inside, and is unfazed when Roxanne begins spitting blood, splattering him as well, before a parasite emerges from her mouth, and she collapses to the ground as the camera shows the Stranger's bloodied face, completely calm, before the film cuts away.
