Static Shock: Power Surge" follows the journey of Virgil Hawkins, a high school student living in Dakota City who gains electromagnetic powers after being exposed to a mutagenic gas during a gang war. With his newfound abilities, Virgil adopts the superhero persona of Static and sets out to protect his city from crime and corruption. Alongside his best friend Richie (Gear), Virgil navigates the challenges of being a teenage superhero while balancing his personal life, including his relationships with his family, friends, and love interest, Daisy. As Static battles against powerful villains like Ebon and Hotstreak, he also forms alliances with fellow heroes like Icon and Solstice. However, when a new threat emerges in the form of the enigmatic villain Mr. Dakota, Static must confront his greatest challenge yet and prove himself as Dakota City's protector.
