We all remember the story of how Oliver Queen became the Green Arrow and how the Arrowverse came to be. Well the latest edition to the Arrowverse sees us returning to where it all began but diving a lot further. Unlike Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Batwoman, Starling is a prequel that explores the early days of Star City when it was still known as Starling City and long, long before there was such a thing as a hooded vigilante righting the wrongs of the city. Who exactly was young Robert Queen. We all know that he was an immoral man and serial cheater who made countless mistakes but was this always the case or was there more than meets the eye? Who was Robert Queen before these wrongs happened? Starling explores this as we delve into the late 70's/early 80's when Robert was a young aspiring entrepreneur and wild party boy. We explore the early days of his blossoming romance with his future wife, young wealthy socialite Moira Deardon and what inspired him to start Queen Consolidated and the beginnings of his friendship with the mysterious Malcolm Merlyn, a friendship as we all remember turned into a notorious rivalry. Starling also explores the early days of rookie cop Quentin Lance and the SCPD and his relationship with young wild spirit Dinah Lance.
