Cory Whitmore was just a regular College student in Opal City. His stepmother, Patty Dugan, a weapons engineer, has created a robotic suit to defend the city if it were ever attacked. One day Cory and his friends Rita Tyler & Harry Heywood accidentally get involved into a fight featuring Skywoman, the original sidekick to Starwoman. As Skywoman is killed, Cory retrieves her cosmic staff and is enchanted with its powers. With these powers Cory becomes Starboy, and he must stop Doctor Polaris, a disgraced physicist who has learned the ways to control all types of metal around her. Polaris who wants to kill any members of the Justice Society, a team put together by the US Government to combat in the Cold War, as Polaris father was accidentally killed in the crossfire of a mission of theirs. Cory must reunite the Justice Society and learn to be a Superhero.
