The story follows Jedi Knight Sula Venn, a powerful but independent Jedi who often questions the strict rules of the Order. She is assigned to investigate mysterious disappearances on the planet Vandor, a desolate world on the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Alongside her is Seth Halden, a charismatic but morally gray former Republic scout who has knowledge of the Outer Rim’s darker secrets. As Sula and Seth uncover the truth behind the disappearances, they stumble upon an ancient Sith temple, hidden for centuries. Inside, they find evidence of Sith rituals linked to Darth Plagueis, a rising Sith Lord who has been quietly building power and influence in the shadows of the High Republic. Meanwhile, a secret cabal of Force-sensitive criminals known as The Nihil Resurrection seeks to exploit the growing imbalance in the Force, destabilizing the Republic for their gain. As Sula delves deeper into the mystery, she begins to have visions of a figure connected to the past—The Acolyte, whose shadow still looms over the galaxy. With the Jedi Order slow to respond, Sula must decide whether to follow her own path to stop this looming threat, or obey the Council’s cautious approach. As the lines between light and dark blur, Sula must confront the possibility that the Republic’s golden age may be built on a fragile foundation, one that could be shattered by the return of the Sith.
