Simu Liu (/ˈsiːmuː ˈliːjuː/ SEE-moo LEE-yoo; simplified Chinese: 刘思慕; traditional Chinese: 劉思慕; born 19 April 1989) is a Canadian actor. He rose to prominence by starring as Shang-Chi in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, debuting in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021). Liu was born in Harbin, China, and raised in Mississauga, Ontario. He has also played Paul Xie in the Omni Television crime drama series Blood and Water—for which he was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award and an ACTRA Award—Jung Kim in the CBC Television sitcom Kim's Convenience (2016–2021), and one of the Ken dolls in the fantasy comedy film Barbie (2023). In 2022, Liu published the memoir We Were Dreamers and was named one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people in the world. Taking place 25 thousand years before the Battle of Yavin, a group of Je'daii Force users believe that they are destined to leave the Ahch-To system and concur the Galaxy as a whole. Because hyperspace haso be developed, these Je'Daii develop a secret starship they call Anoichtes, hoping it has Propulsion power to enter a rumored wormhole that is said to be on the planet Altenea, a planet that is so powerful in the force that it acts as this sort of nexus. When these dark Je'Daii land on the planet, their ship malfunctions, leaving the dark Je'Daii stranded, hoping that because of their powers in the force, they can enter the wormhole without being killed. The Je'Daii search for the wormhole, however, with this concern of entering the wide Galaxy and using their power for evil, the Je'Daii Order send a group of rangers, hoping that these Je'Daii can be stopped before all hell breaks lose...
