John Adedayo Bamidele Adegboyega (born 17 March 1992), known professionally as John Boyega, is a British actor and producer. He first gained recognition in Britain for his role as a teenage gang leader in the comedy horror film Attack the Block (2011) before he had his international breakthrough playing Finn in Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015). As a cast member of the Star Wars sequel trilogy (2017 and 2019), Boyega received the BAFTA Rising Star Award in 2016 and the Trophée Chopard at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. Boyega's career continued to gain momentum in 2020 when he won a Golden Globe Award for his portrayal of Leroy Logan in Red, White and Blue, a part of Steve McQueen's anthology series Small Axe. He then played King Ghezo in the historical action film The Woman King (2022) and a drug dealer in the mystery film They Cloned Tyrone (2023). With Anakin Skywalker’s help, the Jedi escape Peridea, only to discover that Abeloth and the Dathomirian witches have also fled, forming an alliance with Crime Lords to destroy both the Jedi Order and the New Republic. Chaos spreads across the galaxy as Abeloth consumes entire planets, including Lothal and Moraband, growing more powerful with each life-force she drains. The Jedi, realizing they cannot defeat her directly, focus on evacuating citizens and creating underground networks to reach the sentient planet Zonama Sekot, hoping its living presence will distract Abeloth from harming the innocent. Meanwhile, Grand Master Luke Skywalker searches the Sacred Jedi texts for a solution, desperate for any clue to stop her. Unbeknownst to him, Kira Skywalker, his daughter, understands that Abeloth is specifically targeting the Skywalker lineage. In a selfless act, Kira considers sacrificing herself to Abeloth, believing her surrender may protect countless systems and offer the galaxy a chance to survive against this unprecedented threat.
