Berun Modrul is a member of the Khoonda Militia, second in command to Zherron. He's an opinionated young man who often suspects he knows better than his captain what is best and wishes to compromise with Azkul and the mercenaries, to esnure violence is either limited or prevented altogether In the eventual Battle of Khoonda, he realizes that Zherron had been right about the mercenaries all along.
