Twenty-seven years have passed since the fall of The Galactic Empire at the battle of Endor. The Rebel Alliance, now known as The New Republic, has been thriving under the leadership of Chancellor Leia Organa, who recently took the place of the previous Chancellor, Mon Mothma. Meanwhile, Luke Skywalker has also been rebuilding The Jedi Order with the help of many Jedi that survived the initial stages of Order 66, with his most prominent students being Zayne Solo, Jacen Syndulla, and his own daughter, Rey Skywalker.
However, when remnants of the old Empire emerge, now more powerful than ever, under the leadership of Grand Admiral Thrawn and Darth Vader's former Apprentice, Starkiller, the Jedi and Republic must take action. But little do they know that a much larger threat is pulling the strings from the shadows.
