Set in 39 ABY, Duel of the Fates follows the galaxy during a rare era of peace. The New Republic has been reestablished under Supreme Chancellor Orlen Mollo, trade routes and alliances are flourishing, and distant star systems are finally finding stability. The Jedi Order, led by Grand Master Luke Skywalker on Tython, guides the galaxy with openness, diversity, and acceptance. Jedi pursue individualized paths in the Force, from taking Barash Vows to becoming Wayseekers, all seeking inner peace.
However, the descendants of the Skywalkers—Kira, Luke’s daughter, and Leia’s children, Ben and Jaina—are haunted by a dark, omnipresent energy within the Force.
