After the New Empire's attack on the New Republic, General Thorn Arvital is elected as the new chancellor. He is an experienced soldier who is also sensitive to force, but instead of a career in the Jedi order, he decided to focus on the army and politics where he would feel more at home. Under his leadership, the New Republic's war fleet and ground forces began preparing their own offensive in retaliation for the unexpected attack of the New Empire. Chancellor Arvital and Dorah Storm are good friends. The Army The New Empire, meanwhile, is moving uncompromisingly towards the central planets of the New Republic.
