From 2004 to 2014, and again from 2015 to 2017, Ward was the co-host of The Stephanie Miller Show, a nationally syndicated liberal radio talk show that features a number of his impersonations of political figures and other celebrities and news makers. Ward played several roles in animation and video games, most notably Captain Qwark in the Ratchet & Clank franchise. In 2006, Ward played Eyemore, Crusher, and Stoker in Biker Mice from Mars, a remake of the 1990s series of the same name. Ward inherited the role of Stoker from Peter Strauss. In 2009, for his roles on the show, he was nominated and won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program.

Long ago, Ingenious scientist Andross, a native of the fourth planet Corneria, is driven to madness and nearly destroys the planet using biological weapons. General Pepper exiles Andross to the remote planet Venom. Five years later, Pepper detects suspicious activity on Venom, he hires the Star Fox team (including James McCloud, Peppy Hare, and Pigma Dengar) to investigate. Unfortunately, Pigma betrays the team and Andross captures James while Peppy escapes from Venom and informs Fox McCloud, James' son, about his father's fate. Fast forward to today, Andross has once again invaded the Lylat System. General Pepper has turned to a new Star Fox team lead by Fox McCloud and it's other members, Falco Lombardi, Slippy Toad, and Peppy Hare to save Corneria and it's people and to free the Lylat System once again.
