Fan Casting Chip Hare-McCloud (English Dub) in Star Fox: A Chip Off the Old Block

The secret lovechild of James and Peppy, who'd entered a relationship years ago after finding solace in each other during their period as widowers. Chip was born in celebration of the Cornerian military finally lifting their regulations on queer relationships in their ranks, allowing James and Peppy to finally be public about their relationship... But then, James died, and a grief-struck Peppy was in no position to raise a baby. So, he ultimately made the difficult decision to give Chip up for adoption, but left the child with a photograph of their fathers so that he and James would always be with them. Chip's life as an orphan was nothing short of harsh; they grew up destitute and struggled to find a forever home, and as they grew closer and closer to aging out of the system, became desperate to escape. So, one day, they met a recruiter who told them to join the military, promised they wouldn't even step foot on a battlefield and could get all the money in the world just for pushing papers—but got thrust into a secret project to train up youth that would serve as the perfect soldiers. Chip's life became hell as they fought day in and day out, but the one silver lining was finding out the identities of their birth fathers through their military connections. Now knowing the truth, Chip went MIA and sought out Team Star Fox so they could reunite with Peppy and find their family at last. Chip's hard life has made them unflinchingly cynical and harsh, always one with a snarky remark to make or an abrasive stare to give. Their military conditioning has caused them to view everything and everyone as a potential enemy, but on the flipside, they're also tactically-minded and good at getting whatever they want. They just, need to relax and learn how to act like a normal kid.
