Rowan Sebastian Atkinson CBE, is an English comedian, screenwriter, and actor. He is most famous for his work on the satirical sketch comedy show Not The Nine O'Clock News, and the sitcoms Blackadder, Mr. Bean, and The Thin Blue Line. He has been listed in The Observer as one of the 50 funniest actors in British comedy, and amongst the top 50 comedy actors ever in a 2005 poll of fellow comedians. Atkinson was born in Consett, County Durham, England. The youngest of four brothers, his parents were Eric Atkinson, a farmer and company director, and Ella May (née Bainbridge), who married on 29 June 1945. His three older brothers are Paul, who died as an infant; Rodney, a Eurosceptic economist who narrowly lost the UK Independence Party leadership election in 2000 and Rupert.

The movie opens with Three individuals in the Winter Tundra area of the distant land of Avalar, where they are working on a superportal. But things accidentally go awry when Hunter The Cheetah types in the coordinates 22475, and inadvertently brings Ripto, a short tempered (and Short Statured), dictator into Avalar. Elora notes that Ripto mentions that he hates dragons and suggests the summon a dragon to help beat Ripto. Meanwhile in the world of Dragons, Spyro is seen fighting Gnasty Gnorc, a creature who has long been at war with the Dragons, after a long fight, Spyro ultimately roasts Gnasty Gnorc and suggests that he and Sparx deserve a Vacation and decide to go to Dragon Shores. Back in Avalar, we see Hunter, Elora, and The Professor using a portal in Glimmer to intersect into the Dragon Realms and summon a dragon. Spyro comes into Avalar and witnesses Ripto in a rampage over the fact that a dragon has come to Avalar. Now Spyro must sort out the trouble Ripto has caused over Avalar, gain the Talismans and the trust of the civilians of Avalar to overthrow this Pint-Sized Dictator.
