Silver Sable is tasked by the U.S. government to track down Felicia Hardy, aka Black Cat, a high-end burglar who has stolen from numerous people who now want to take her down. More than just a professional gig for the skillful bounty hunter, Sablinova is chasing Hardy for another reason; she's the one that stands between her and Mendel Stromm/Gaunt, who experimented on her Symkarian countrymen in the past—and murdered her father. Coincidentally, Stromm is also chasing down Hardy, as he and his financial backer want their “prized experiment” back in their clutches. Thus, Stromm recruits an array of henchmen to find her. In the end, these two damaged women—who are at war with each other—need each other to survive.
