After the events of Secrets Wars, the 616 universe and the "Sonyverse" were merged into a single universe, now, inhabitants of the sonyverse inhabit the MCU. Spiderman got his symbiotic suit in Secrets Wars, where Eddie Brock (Venom) enters, who guides Peter in handling the symbiotes while they must face a group of Parker's old enemies who have teamed up with visitors from the Sonyverse. But as they confront the Sinisters, Parker realizes that his symbiote isn't doing him any good.
