Peter Parker, now in college, is dating Betty Brant after breaking up with Gwen Stacy following the Electro battle. He is working as an assistant for Doctor Otto Octavius in the development of prosthetics. Meanwhile, as Spider-Man, he has set his sights on stopping the Fisk Empire, which enrages Fisk. Fisk hires the Chameleon to frame Spider-Man.
