Taron David Egerton (/ˈɛdʒərtən/ EJ-ər-tən; born 10 November 1989) is a Welsh actor and singer. After graduating from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, he performed in stage plays before gaining recognition for his starring role as a spy in the action comedy films Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014) and Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017). Egerton has starred in several biographical films, portraying military officer Edward Brittain in the drama Testament of Youth (2014), the titular ski-jumper in the sports film Eddie the Eagle (2016), and singer Elton John in the musical Rocketman (2019). The last of these earned him a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor. He also starred as Jimmy Keene in the miniseries Black Bird (2022), for which he was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award, as Henk Rogers in the biopic Tetris (2023), and in the thriller film Carry-On (2024). The episode opens 25 years ago in 1993 as a 25 year old Thomas Parker and 30 year old Norman Osborn are working together on starting Norman's new company Oscorp. Meanwhile a 21 year old Otto Octavius and a 37 year old Adrian Toomes are heading over to visit Tom and Norman with all four of them's new invention the DNA Splicer which they believe can create super-humans. Throughout the episode the four of them try to get funding for this invention but no one is interested until they meet a man named Gustav Fiers who introduces them to Wilson Fisk who makes a deal with Norman. Fisk agrees to fund their project and get Oscorp up and running but the four of them are in debt and for the rest of their lives he can collect those debts at any time. The four of them agree and their machine is started up. Through the next couple years things go pretty smooth but Gustav and Fisk start getting more involved over time and eventually Norman and Adrian start becoming more corrupt while Tom and Otto leave the project and the company. After a couple more years Tom gets married and has a son while Otto has a daughter but his girlfriend left with the child. In the year 2003 Tom and his wife Mary started looking into Oscorp and trying to expose them for abusing and reconstructing animals. Eventually Norman has them killed and Otto finds them but to make sure Otto doesn't tell anyone Fisk collects his debt from Otto and has him ignore everything.
