We see Peter Parker trying to right the wrongs he did as the symbiote while also trying to restart his relationship with Kitty Pryde who even though she had remembered her and Peter's relationship she has moved on and doesnt really want to continue with Peter but does with Bobby Drake who she started dating a year ago. Throughout the movie Peter doesn't know what to do with both being seen as a menace and his girlfriend being with someone he considered a friend. Meanwhile after the fall of Intelligencia Norman Osborn has run way after Doom was removed from office. Norman eventually decides if he's going to do anything now he's going to kill Spider-Man. Later on that week Norman attacks Peter who thinks he can just beat him right away but Norman hurts Peter badly. We cut to the hospital as Aunt May, Gwen Stacy, and Harry Osborn show up. Peter tells them he's fine and goes to try and find Norman. Throughout the rest of the movie Peter pushes himself to extreme lengths to beat the Goblin as he slowly becomes more like he was with the symbiote. Eventually Peter and Norman fight again and this time they both hurt each other badly but Norman manages to get up and fly away while Peter lies there in pain. Peter thinks of what he is doing and wonders if this is the best way to deal with his emotions. Peter makes it to where Norman is and this time fights a lot calmer and wins. Norman gets away but Peter is the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man once again. The movie ends with Kitty Pryde and Bobby Drake breaking up and Kitty going back to Peter but when she gets there she sees Peter and Gwen Stacy kissing.
