Peter Parker is an ordinary teenager trying to survive high school, friendships, family responsibilities, and the confusing world of adolescence until a mysterious spider bite gives him extraordinary abilities. After a personal tragedy teaches him that his powers come with responsibility, Peter creates the identity of Spider-Man and begins protecting New York City from criminals and super-powered threats. But balancing school, family, friendships, and a secret superhero life proves far harder than simply stopping criminals. As Peter grows older, his world expands and so do the dangers he faces. He encounters brilliant scientists, dangerous criminals, and other people whose lives are transformed by the same forces that changed his. Each season explores a different stage of Peter's life, from inexperienced teenager to seasoned hero, while his greatest challenge remains the same: protecting the people he loves without losing himself in the process. The series is ultimately a coming-of-age story about a young man learning that being Spider-Man isn't about having the greatest powers; it's about choosing to do the right thing when doing so comes at a cost.
