Jonathan Watts (born June 28, 1981) is an American film director, producer, and screenwriter. He is best known for directing the Spider-Man films within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU): Homecoming (2017), Far From Home (2019), and No Way Home (2021). He also directed and co-wrote the films Clown (2014), Cop Car (2015), and Wolfs (2024), as well as directing many episodes of the parody television news series Onion News Network. He also worked on the Disney+ show, “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew” and co-wrote “Final Destination Bloodlines” (2025). Watts has also directed music videos for electronic music artists such as Fatboy Slim and Swedish House Mafia. Peter Parker is home now, but with Aunt May gone, he lives with a new family for the holidays. He's just about to start a semester at MIT when his roommate, Miles Morales, gets into trouble. He's stuck on a train being smashed about by Venom, and Peter needs to save him. Together Peter, Miles, Harry Osborn, and Gwen Stacy go on a quest to save the world from Venom, and maybe also get MJ and Ned to remember who Peter is. On the journey, they meet Eddie Brock, who is on the run from the police. They find out that both him and Harry are Venom, but in the end they suck out the evil from Harry. However, Eddie Brock still cannot control himself, and as Venom helps Harry to join the villains again. Meanwhile, Miles and Peter are trying to save the from Venom. They have no idea who Venom is, but in the end they find out. Peter also manages to bring memories of him back into MJ and Ned's minds, with the help of Doctor Strange.
