Three weeks after the murder of his Uncle Ben, a grief-stricken 15-year-old Peter Parker is fighting a reckless war on crime that forces Nick Fury to intervene. Drafted into SHIELD’s covert "Ultimate" program alongside the disciplined White Tiger and Falcon, Peter struggles to suppress his rage and fit the mold of a soldier. Meanwhile, a ruthless power couple is flooding Queens with volatile alien weaponry, entrapping the Davis brothers: Jefferson, a father desperate to escape the life to protect his five-year-old son Miles, and Aaron, his terrified younger brother who sees no way out. When the syndicate’s operations threaten to turn a local graduation party into a war zone, Peter realizes that SHIELD’s "big picture" tactics will leave his neighbors to die. Defying orders, he risks everything to shield the Davis family from the crossfire—a heroic choice that saves young Miles but results in a tragic explosion that creates the cold-blooded villain Tombstone. Witnessing the true cost of heroism and the failure of brotherhood, Peter rejects SHIELD’s global scope to embrace his true calling as the protector of the little guy: the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.
