Dr. Ohnn was a scientist working on an experiment involving interdimensional portals. During one of his experiments, he accidentally fused his own body with the black hole he was creating, gaining the ability to open portals through space. This transformation left him with the ability to create black holes, which appeared as circular spots, allowing him to teleport through them at will. Driven by a desire for revenge against those who ridiculed him in his past, Spot became a recurring enemy of Spider-Man.
