Caleb Reginald McLaughlin (born October 13, 2001) is an American actor. He gained international recognition playing Lucas Sinclair in the Netflix series Stranger Things (2016–2025). He began his career playing young Simba in the Broadway musical The Lion King, and then had small roles in television. After finding success in Stranger Things, he appeared in the drama films High Flying Bird (2019) and Concrete Cowboy (2020), the latter being his first lead role in a feature film. He was also in the miniseries The New Edition Story (2017) and has had several television voice-over roles. Spider-Man Beyond Fire is a 2027 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man. It was directed by Neill Blomkamp, written by Sam Raimi and Jon Watts, and produced by Marvel Studios and Legendary Pictures and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing, it is the third installment in the Spider-Man Multiverse. The film stars Gabriel Luna as Miguel O'Hara / Spider-Man alongside Emma Stone, Jake Gyllenhaal, Kirsten Dunst, Caleb McLaughlin, Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, Justice Smith, Zendaya, Tobey Maguire, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Michael Shannon. In the film, Miguel O'Hara and the rest of the Spider Society must enter the multiverse to stop a resurrected Mysterio and escaped convict Alonzo Lincoln from destroying it. Spider-Man Beyond Fire opened in theaters on December 3rd, 2027; the film received generally positive reviews from critics and audiences, praising the film for its cast (particularly Luna, Stone, Holland, and Gyllenhaal), visual effects, action sequences, costume designs, the darker tone, direction, Hans Zimmer's musical score, screenplay, and emotional weight, but its story received mixed responses. It was also a financial success like the rest of the Spider-Man Multiverse films, grossing $1.2 billion worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing film in the series and of 2027. A sequel is in development.
