After being bitten by a genetically engineered spider in a scientific demonstration, young nerd Peter Parker gains superpowers. Initially, he intends to use them to make money, adopting the name Spider-Man and performing in exhibition matches. However, when witnessing the murder of his uncle Ben and feeling guilty, Peter decides not to use his powers for his own advantage anymore, but to face evil, having as well as the criminals of New York City, several villains emerging as enemies.
